A new way to become a member

Board spokesperson Toni Freixa has presented a fourth option for membership of FCB. This method seeks commitment from potential members: people that can demonstrate 3 years of loyalty to the club may formulate their application to become members.
As announced in advance at a press conference on October 14, the Club has studied and presented a fourth alternative for registering as a member. This option consists of demonstrating loyalty as a fan for three years by owning a special card that can be obtained for a lower annual fee (€125) than that paid by members (€161.50) and which also offers fewer advantages.

Once such loyalty has been shown for three years, the applicant will have the right to formulate their definitive application to become a member of FC Barcelona. Freixa explained that this new secondary level card system “is not yet operative” and that the Club will soon be announcing the date when it will become available. Applications for a card will have to be made in person at the Barcelona Supporter Services Office (OAB).

Until this new card comes into force, there are currently three other ways that somebody can become a member of FC Barcelona: be a direct or first time removed relative of a member, be aged under 14 years (membership cannot be transferred upwards) or to have been a member of FC Barcelona before. This fourth method will soon be added too.

Like a member with four exceptions

This new card provides its holders with all the same rights as normal members bar four: they get no voting rights, they cannot receive season tickets or places on the waiting list, they get no preferential treatment in applications for tickets for finals or important games and they do not get to take part in draws for the Open Box scheme.
